“Early Morning Pond Scene”

Well, … today I have a lot to say, but for some reason, I simply can’t get it down through my fingers and on to the keyboard!
Thought I would post a little something.
This is a simple image of some grass/weeds along side a pond that was photographed early one morning.
The ever so slight sunrise was enhanced in Photoshop just a bit, and I used selective saturation in other areas for balance.
Hope everyone is doing fine, … so take care gang!

What you call simple is simply unattainable for me. This is a lovely picture; abstract yet recognizable with a beautiful palette of pastels.
What a beautiful and delicate shot. Love your photos more and more… :)
Simple but beautiful, tones and composition remind me a bit of Japanese decorative art. How do you obtain these soft pastel colors?
Peter, Silvia, Andriy, … thanks guys!
Andriy, the colors were there that morning but still somewhat muted with the early morning fog and low light.
So, I selectively added some saturation to those areas at around 25%.
Shooting something early in the morning like this with a hint of color, and then selectively saturating those areas can “at times”, (not always though), help to give that overall feel that you see here.
Subtle yet colorful.
Thanks again guys!
I love the simplicity of this shot. It’s not cluttery or overworked. Really nice, Mike.
gorgeous! I love that selective saturation tool myself. This reminds me of a sunrise over the water with the bokeh you have in the BG.. another winner!
ps, thanks for the kind comment re: Tasha.. I smiled too :)
A simple image? No, another inspiring work of art!
Bonnie, Cindy, Roberta, Fadzly, … thanks for the comments and for visiting.
