"Macro Art In Nature"

Explorations in the artistic world of macro photography.

I’ve Been Tagged! Oh well, ….. here’s the tale!

I got tagged by Bonnie, … and that Paul guy started it!
Now I am suppose to tell you 8 things about me that you did not know.
So, since I have a day or two to goof off before getting back to work, … here we go.

1. I never really liked Elvis a whole lot, never did like the Bee Gees, never did like the Supremes, and absolutely hate “beach music!”

2. I do not trust a man who can not cry!

3. I would choose life on a small island all alone with plenty of food and good health long before I would take a place in the big city with all the money in the world!

4. I am a Carolina Gamecock fan, … so, … everybody else sucks! (okay, you can write me now!) LoL!

5. I will not eat anything that is still moving.

6. If I had a couple of wishes, one would be to go back in time, and beat the hell out of the person or persons who invented the neck tie!

7. If you ever mess with my family, …..

8. If you ever mess with my dog or my pickup truck, ….. you’re dead!

And one more:

9. I have a direct line with God who is always there when I need to talk, and the great thing is this, ….. he is “never” outsourced!!

Edit: One that I should have put in there.
“I have never been to a Starbucks”. (And never have any intentions of doing so neither!!)

Daylily Petal & Throat – Abstract Macro

Hi gang!

Here, … still working, … still shooting, … still having some fun!
Have also been uploading some images to “PhotoShelter”, and will soon be tying that site in with the private site that I have had for the art consultants and various clients.
You can see just a few here, but I do have much more to add still and plenty that anyone has yet to see.
“Michael Brown” – PhotoShelter.
I lost all of my key words someway, somehow, … and it is painfully slow adding all of that back into the system.
The ability to purchase prints will soon be added in to the PhotoShelter site as well, so if anyone has money that is burning a whole in their pocket, ….. LoL! (I have no shame!)
Have also been working on a postcard or promo-card to send out to various consultants and agencies, … so yep, … my plate is still full until late in the year!

This image below is of a daylily flower. I simply sat the lens right on top of the petal, shooting wide open, and moved the lens toward the bright throat area while composing, … shooting.
Fun and easy to do!

Rattlesnake Rattles & Dogwood Leaves.

Hello everyone!

Have just finished up a project for the El San Juan Hotel out of Puerto Rico, getting payed in a timely manner, so I am a happy camper.
Will be taking the entire month of July just to experiment with some things and ideas that I have, and thought I would come in today and post something.
Will be away for awhile, ….. again! :)

There seems to be a lot of requests lately for any type of work in sepia, whether it be straight photography or mixed media.
Here are just two images that I have finished playing with, … at least for now.
